Guus Onnink (LL.M.) studied criminal law at the University of Amsterdam. He completed his Masters degree in 2018. Guus has done internships at criminal law firms during his studies and worked at a human rights law firm in Capetown (South-Africa). He gave legal advice in pro bono cases, organised legale clinics in townships and gave presentations in juvenile prisons. He also visited inmates in prisons in the Netherlands and gave them legal advice.
Guus worked as a legal officer in criminal law at the courthouse in Amsterdam for several years. He now works as a legal officer at Stroobach & Dijkers, a criminal law firm in Amsterdam.
Guus watched the documentaries ‘Code Red: The Death Penalty’ and ‘Deal with Death’. The documentaries piqued Guus his interest in Clinton’s case and the death penalty.
Guus joined the Clinton Young Foundation as a team member in November 2020 to help Clinton.
